Dominic Mazzotta (12-2) will have a chance to get the sour taste of a nasty knockout loss out of his mouth, as “The Honey Badger” finally has a date set for his second Bellator outing. The Pittsburgh area native will compete in his home state, as he faces Matt Lozano (8-5) at Bellator 186 on Nov. 3 in University Park, Pennsylvania.

Mazzotta (#1 pro BW, PA) will return to the bantamweight division after making his Bellator debut at featherweight. In that bout, he was knocked out by an A.J. McKee kick that he partially blocked. Prior to that Bellator 178 loss in April, Mazzotta had won nine straight bouts, including winning the Pinnacle FC bantamweight and featherweight titles.
Lozano (#4 pro BW, PA) hails from Lancaster, PA, and he comes in looking to snap a two-fight losing streak. This will be his second stint with Bellator, as he went 1-1 in a pair of bouts early in his career. He’s also fought for notable regional organizations Legacy FC, CES MMA, CFFC, and World Series of Fighting.
Bellator 186 takes place on the campus of Penn State University and is designed to feature former Nittany Lion wrestling talent. Headlined by a light heavyweight title bout where Ryan Bader will defend against Linton Vassell, the fight card also features PSU alums Phil Davis and Ed Ruth.
There’s also a rumor that the fight card could feature a bout for the vacant Bellator women’s flyweight title, as well as other Pennsylvania-based talent. Stay tuned to BluegrassMMA for more on Bellator 186 as it’s available.

It’s good that he is fighting back down at Bantamweight where he is most effective and can really make a dent in Bellator’s Bantamweight division.
