Scott Holtzman stopped by BluegrassMMA Live to talk about his upcoming title defense in Nashville against Roger Carroll. Holtzman is back home from his second training camp at The Lab in Arizona and was all business when we he spoke about his fight. Holtzman in just over a year has went from his professional debut to the top of the division inside the XFC. As young as he is in the sport he spoke with the maturity of a chiseled veteran.

Holtzman (5-0) may not bring the experience that Carroll (13-9) has but he does bring an intensity that is rarely matched. Scott talked about his preparation and how he doesn’t look past anyone. He recognizes that Roger is in a win win situation with nothing to lose and much to gain. Holtzman is quoted as saying that Carroll would have to kill him to get his belt. The two will throw down Friday in the main event of XFC 26

The match up is interesting. This will be Carroll’s first trip to lightweight. Carroll told us that he has used the Patino Diet as well as tips from his brother to cut the weight. Both men will head to Nashville tomorrow to finish shedding the last few pounds. Take a listen as they both talk about the championship fight that will air live on AXS TV.
