Less than one week since the East Tennessee-based promotion held back-to-back events, officials with Valor are hard at work building upon their recent success. The organization has already put together five bouts for the upcoming Valor Fights 22 event. With exactly six weeks until the event takes place the card is already shaping up to be an exciting one.
One fight has Cody Guinn, Event Director for Valor Fights, excited. “With so many huge fights cards coming up, no one fight has my attention quite like this one,” Guinn stated. He, of course, is talking about the match-up between Jason “The Asian Persuasion” King (1-0) and Caleb “The Bull” Trumbell (0-1). Knoxville MMA (KMMA) fighter King will have the advantage as the two fighters are set to step foot into the cage at The International located in his hometown.
In addition to that stunning welterweight match-up, fans will also see Will Bolduc (4-6) defend his amateur flyweight title against Bushido MMA fighter Jim Lord (2-0). This will be the first time that the Knoxville-resident is defending his belt since he submitted Michael Lenas in a re-match at Valor Fights 17. Coming into his first title fight, the undefeated Lord will look to finish Bolduc; much like he has done with all of his other opponents.
Those are just two of the initial fights announced for the upcoming card that is set to take place on April 11th at The International in Knoxville, Tennessee. Let’s take a look at the rest of the line-up scheduled for Valor Fights 22:
