Valor Fights heads to Maryville, Tennessee tonight, as Fight Night at the Shed takes place at The Shed Smokehouse. A total of 13 bouts are set for the amateur event, including a pair of flyweight title fights for both the men and the women.
In the main event, Alannah Arnett (2-0) will face Emilee Prince (1-2) for the women’s flyweight title. Arnett looks to remain unbeaten, after picking up wins over Yoko Kowaas and Linda Mihalec in her first two bouts. Prince picked up a win in her debut at Valor Fights 36 last year, but she’s currently on a two-fight skid with losses against Fotini Kandris and Alexa Saverem.
On the men’s side, Jakob Clemons (4-1) and Diego Bautista (3-2) will also throw down for the flyweight title.
After losing his debut, Clemons has picked up four straight wins. Most recently, “The Angry Koala” topped the previously unbeaten Shane Shaffner at Valor Fights 41 in March.
“He’s a tough guy for sure,” Clemons told The MMA Takeover. “I’ve watched his fights and he’s gritty I can tell it’s going to be a really fun fight.”
Bautista comes in from Georgia with wins in three of his last four. The 22-year-old’s last outing was a decision over Sean Gallagher at NFC 97 last month.
“I do not think I will be able to finish Clemons because he is so tough,” Bautista told The MMA Takeover. “But I do believe I will dominate every single round of every single second. I see myself winning 30-26.”
