A lightweight bout featuring veteran amateur fighters is a last-minute addition to this weekend’s RFO: Big Guns 25 event, as Ethan Hayes (5-1) and Tyler Collins (6-3) will square off.
Both fighters coming in looking to rebound from losses earlier this summer.
Hailing from West Virginia, Hayes is ranked as the No. 7 amateur lightweight in Pennsylvania and No. 10 in Ohio by Tapology. The 25-year-old looks to rebound from his first career loss, as he dropped a decision against Anthony Romero at IT Fight Series 73 in June. Prior to that, he won four of his first five bouts via stoppage, including three via submission.
Collins (#10 am WW, OH) also looks to rebound from a loss, as he had a two-fight winning streak snapped when he dropped a decision against LJ Reboli at Maverick 2 in Pennsylvania in July. After dropping a lightweight title bout against Aaron Bartow at Big Guns 19 last summer, he moved up to welterweight where he picked up wins over Desmond Ford and Nate Davies under the Caged Madness banner. Now, he’ll return to lightweight looking to pick up a signature win.
Big Guns 25 takes place at the Richland County Fairgrounds in Mansfield, Ohio. The main event features a featherweight title bout between Cody Stevens and Jordan Griffin.
