Former mixed martial arts promoter and WWE wrestler Nick “Big Bully” Busick has passed away.
Busick promoted three events under the “Big Bully MMA” banner in Eastern Ohio in 2012 and 2013.
He was well known as a professional wrestler in the 1980s and 90s, including his time in WWE under the ring name Big Bully Busick.
Busick had a long battle with esophageal cancer that began in 2015. After being declared cancer free the following year, he was diagnosed with spinal fluid cancer last year and was receiving hospice care as of March.
He worked as a police officer and was also the owner of Big Bully sports nutrition bars. His son, Branko Busick, is currently 1-1 as a professional MMA heavyweight, and made his pro debut under the Bellator MMA banner last year.
“Big Bully” is perhaps best known for his trademark mustache, which was named as the best mustache in WWE history in 2012.
Busick was 63 years old.
