A welterweight battle has been added to UFC Pittsburgh, as Jonavin Webb (8-1, 0-1 UFC) is set to face Bryan Barberena (10-3, 1-1 UFC) in a 170-pound battle at the event.
Webb, who hails from New Jersey, was the welterweight champion for CFFC before making his UFC debut on short notice against Kyle Noke at UFC Fight Night 65 in May. “Spyder” dropped a split decision to Noke, and now looks to pick up his first UFC win fighting not far from home.
The 26-year-old had asked to be on the card, and he trains in the Keystone State as part of the Renzo Gracie Philly team in Philadelphia. Webb has also recently taken on a role as an amateur matchmaker for CFFC and has had a big part in putting together next week’s CFFC 54: Next Generation event in Atlantic City.

Barberena makes the jump to welterweight after a 1-1 stint in the UFC lightweight division. “Bam Bam” made his debut with an upset win over Joe Ellenberger at UFC on Fox 13 just over a year ago, but he dropped a unanimous decision to Chad Laprise at UFC 186 in April.
UFC Fight Night 82 now includes 11 bouts, but the main event has yet to be announced. It appears as though Uhrichsville, Ohio native Cody Garbrandt’s bout against John Lineker will serve as the night’s co-main event.
UFC Fight Night 82 takes place on Sunday, February 21 at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The main card airs on Fox Sports 1.
