New League Fights is set to return to the Quality Inn & Suites in Montpelier, Ohio this weekend, and promoter Matt Montalvo has put together a card featuring a baker’s dozen fights.
The card is topped by a trio of pro offerings, inculding Sergio Pavon (1-1) vs. Murjan Flowers (2-1), James Sanchez (0-0) vs. Mark Carosella (0-0), and Zac Dominique (0-0) vs. Travis Hussey (0-2).
The 22-year-old Pavon hails from the Chicago qarea, and the Team Top Notch fighter looks for his second win after splitting his first two pro bouts. He debuted with a win over Brandon Emmons ar HFC 30, but then dropped a bout to Oscar Askar ar HFC 31.
Flowers hails from Michigan and looks to rebound from his first career loss in his last bout after starting his career 2-0.
After a 5-2 amateur career, Sanchez will make his pro debut against Carosella. The Chicago area native won titles in the XFO and Total Fight Challenge promotions as an amateur, and he boasts four stoppage wins on his record.
Carosella makes the jump to the pro ranks after a 7-1 amateur career. The Demolition Fight Team product won titles under the Warrior Nation and IT Fight Series banners as an amateur, and five of his seven wins were via stoppage.
After a 6-2 amateur career, Dominique will make his pro debut. He started out with five straight wins before dropping back-to-back fights. He rebounded to submit Josh Bates in his final amateur bout at WNFS 43 last month.
Hussey looks for his first pro win after dropping back-to-back fights and taking a layoff of more than two years.
In the amateur ranks, Bo Johnson (3-1) and Kaleb Raymond (5-4) will battle for the vacant NLF super heavyweight title.
Raymond has won three straight bouts after beginning his career with a 2-4 mark. Johnson earned a title shot after stopping Alex Bowen with strikes in just 21 seconds at a NLF event last April.
