Valor Fights 41 went down last night in Elizabethton, Tennessee, and a massive fight card was anchored by rising bantamweight star Dylan Cala. Cala (5-1) picked up a unanimous decision win over Roufusport product Chris Wright Jr. (8-7-1) in the main event.
Making the trek from St. Louis to Tennessee, Luis Pena (3-0) handed Damir Ferhatbegovic (3-1) his first loss, stopping him in the second round with a triangle choke.
Chandler Cole (2-0) advanced his perfect record, finishing Phillip McGlothlin (1-1) via strikes in the first round.
Georgia native Kobe Wall (4-0) also remained unbeaten, as he finished Ohio product Zach Cook (3-4) with a triangle choke in the first round.
Nick Martino (1-2) picked up his first win as a pro, as he submitted Shonte Barnes (1-1) with a rear naked choke in the first round.
Valor mainstays Jason King (4-2), Judd Brown (7-2), Nick Gehrts (7-2), and Roy Sanders (1-11) also picked up wins in pro action.
On the amateur side of the card, titles were successfully defended by Bubba Cruz (5-1), Billy Swanson (6-1), and Jakob Clemens (4-1). Preston Schick (5-0) took the featherweight title from defending champ Thomas Wooley (4-2) in the only title change of the night.
