Yet another big fight is set for March, as Joey Holt (7-2) and Justin Edwards (8-5) will headline Gladiators of the Cage 20 on March 19 in Pittsburgh.
The organization announced the lightweight title bout earlier this week for their return to Stage AE on the North Shore in the Steel City.
Holt comes in riding a four fight winning streak, with his last loss coming to former GOTC lightweight champion Rob Hanna, who has dropped to the featherweight division. A Bellator veteran, Holt has earned wins over Adam Assenza, George Comer, Anthony Morgan, and Andrew Osborne in his last four bouts.
A seven-time UFC veteran, the Ohioan Edwards will compete for the first time since receiving his pink slip last year. He looks to snap a three fight losing streak as he last competed against Joe Proctor at UFC Fight Night 68 last June.
Sounds like the first offering of the year from the 2015 BluegrassMMA Promotion of the Year is shaping up to be a big one.
