Two top Ohio Valley fighters have received opponents for the upcoming King of the Cage: Harms Way card. Nick Browne (6-0) and Jason Butcher (8-2) will both compete at the event in separate bouts.
Browne is set to take on Troy Lamson (6-1) in a lightweight bout. Browne has remained unbeaten since making his pro debut in 2014. Most recently, he topped R’Mandel Cameron via decision at Pinnacle FC 12 last November to claim that organization’s lightweight title. He’s currently ranked as the No. 1 pro lightweight in the BluegrassMMA Rankings.
Lamson wrestled at Michigan State and also made his pro debut in 2014. He won his first six bouts via stoppage, but recently dropped a decision to Justin Jaynes in his last outing.
Morrow’s opponent will be Robert Morrow (24-21-1). A 7-time Bellator MMA veteran, he posted a 5-2 record while fighting for the organization. His last bout was a submission loss against Tamdan McCrory at Bellator 134 in February 2015.
Morrow hails from the Chicago area and is 2-3 since the start of 2015. His last outing was a TKO loss against Dan Spohn at Gladiators of the Cage 21 in June.
King of the Cage: Harms Way takes place Sept. 17 at The Meadows Casino in Washington, PA. The event airs on MavTV.
