We’re still almost two months away from Colosseum Combat XXXVII, but the fight card now has a main event, as lightweights Tom Shoaff (8-3) and Tyler Combs (15-13) will square off in the featured bout.
Shoaff comes in looking to snap out of a two-fight losing streak. In fact, he’s just 2-3 in his last five bouts after starting his career off at 6-0. This will be the Colosseum Combat for the “Local Ninja.”
Combs has just one win in his last nine bouts, and he’s bounced back and forth from lightweight and welterweight in his career. In his only outing this year, he was submitted by Rocky France at Colosseum Combat XXXVI in August.
The fight card is already robust with a total of 13 bouts, including four more in the pro ranks.
In the co-feature, Cristofer Sprinkle (2-1) will look to bounce back from his first defeat, as he takes on Matt Paul (1-1) in a middleweight bout. Sprinkle provided a highlight reel knockout over Ronez McGrady in his pro debut, and followed up with a TKO win in his second outing.
Another notable bout features Reggie Merriweather (9-10) taking on Jameson Sharp (3-1). The Cincinnati native Merriweather is 1-2 thus far in 2016, after posting a TKO win over Anthony Morgan in his last outing. Sharp started out 3-0 before losing via decision to Joe Lile Jr. in his last outing at Colosseum Combat XXXVI.
On the amateur side of the card, Kyle VanCamp (8-4) and Keair Ross (4-0) will square off for the vacant CC lightweight title. VanCamp has won his last two bouts, both of which came under the Colosseum Combat banner. Ross looks to remain unbeaten; his last bout was a decision win over Andre Henriques at Colosseum Combat XXXV in May.
Colosseum Combat XXXVII takes place on January 7 at the Kokomo Event & Conference Center in Kokomo, Indiana.

Fixed – there are too many VanCamp brothers to keep straight.
