Lineup coming together for Valor Fights 43: Border Wars

Valor Fights and Warrior FC are set to co-promote an event on May 6, as Valor Fights 43: Border Wars will go down at the Corbin Arena in Corbin, Kentucky.
As previously reported, the main event will feature a dual heavyweight title bout, as Dustin Long (7-3) and Ben Rowland (1-0) will compete for both the Valor and Warrior titles.
The promotion has added three more pro bouts to the card, as Tennessee’s Jason King takes on Kentucky’s Brandon Bell, Tennessee’s Nick Gehrts will face Kentucky’s Ruben Warr, and Tennessee’s Doug Williams will throw down with Kentucky’s Scott Hope.
King (4-2) comes in looking to start a winning streak, as he’ll try to build off of a TKO win over David Suter at Valor Fights 41 earlier this month. The “Asian Persuasion” is a teammate of Ovince St. Preux at Knoxville Martial Arts Academy, and he’s earned three of his four pro wins via knockout or TKO.
Bell (5-6) now has a pair of fights lined up, as he’ll also take on Bradley Stafford at Warrior FC 132 this weekend. In his last outing, he submitted Brian Stevens at Warrior FC: Mountain Madness in November.
Gehrts (7-2) comes in on a three-fight winning streak, including a victory over Latral Perdue at Valor Fights 41 earlier this month. He also picked up wins over Steven Haag and Steven New under the Valor banner last year.
Warr (6-8) has won two bouts in a row, and also has a matchup with Braedon Ward at Hardrock MMA 88 next month. In his last outing, he picked up a win over Ian Lawler at Hardrock MMA 86 in February.
Williams (1-1) will take on Hope (6-5) in a light heavyweight bout. After winning his pro debut via TKO in less than a minute over Robert Bennett at Apex Fights 10, he fell victim to Rowland in his sophomore outing with a 16-second knockout loss.
Hope fights for the first time since 2014, when he lost via TKO to Brandon Bell at a Warrior FC event.
Gina Begley (0-2) is also expected to be in action at the event in a flyweight bout.
