Hoosier Fight Club 29 is set to go down at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana this Saturday night, and the 12-bout lineup is anchored by a pair of professional title bouts.
In the main event, heavyweight champion Arnold Adams (7-9) will defend his title for the first time against the fast-rising Don’Tale Mayes (1-0).
Mayes was 8-0 as an amateur with seven of his wins via stoppage. He made the jump to the pro ranks in February, when he stopped veteran Harry Hunsucker via strikes in just over two minutes at Hardrock MMA 77.
Adams has won three bouts in a row, one via TKO and his last two via knockout. He took home the HFC title after a vicious knockout of Daniel James at HFC 27, which you can see at the end of the highlight video from the event below.
The event will also feature a rematch between Dennis Dombrow (6-5) and Matthew Hemry (6-2) with the vacant bantamweight title on the line. Their bout at HFC 28 ended in a no contest after a bad cut early in the first round. Hemry had won two in a row before the no contest, and has never been to a decision in his career. The April bout was Dombrow’s first since 2014, and he was looking to snap a two-fight losing streak.
Also in action will be lightweight Tom Shoaff (8-2), who looks to rebound from just the second loss of his career in his last outing. He’ll face Arkansas native and Legacy FC veteran Thomas Gifford (9-7).
In the amateur main event, Kyle Koontz (5-1) looks for his third straight win, as he faces Feroz Khan (7-2) for the vacant 135-pound title.
The entire fight card is set to stream live via GFL for $14.99, which you can order though this link.
