Hardrock MMA returns to Louisville’s Expo 5 on Saturday April 8th and the promotions is bringing a trio of professional fights to headline the card.
The main event features Area 502 MMA’s James London (3-1) as he defends the home turf against Lloyd Thornton (3-6) from Indiana. London is coming off a win at Valor Fights 40 back in February. All three of his wins have come by stoppage. Thornton has lost four of his last five fights and was most recently in action in December at XFO 59 where he lost to Lukas Cherep in the first round.
In the co-headliner Ruben Warr (6-8) meets Braedon Ward (3-4). Warr comes in after back to back wins under the Hardrock MMA banner. He has posted two decision wins and has another fight scheduled for May 6th following this event. Ward has won three in a row. He submitted Brian Kerr in his last fight that took place in November.
Rounding out the professional side of the card is Renaldo Weekley (1-1) vs. Erick Florez (2-3). Weekley started his professional career with a knockout but was caught by a heel hook in his sophomore outing. Florez hasn’t fought since 2010 but both of his wins have come by first round submission.
